The fruit: The 2018 Kismet Saféd, is a blend of 60% Sauvignon Blanc, 21% Semillon and 19% Orange Muscat.
Tasting notes: These varietals have all been vinified separately then blended. Hand harvested, fermented in stainless tanks at very low temperatures to preserve all the aromatics. Refined floral Muscat nose with orange blossom. The palate is slightly sweet, long and balanced. Fresh and intense aromatics with a salivating finish. A very harmonious wine, releasing crisp sensations and finishing fresh and clean.
Pairs well with mildly spiced curries and stews.

One of my favorite Kismete wines. Just a regular guy here. A beer and Vodka guy at heart. When I do drink wine however I like the whites. Reds to bitter and dry for me. The Safed was my favorite of the kismet whites. It may however just be psychological. Safed is a Punjabi word meaning something or other that I don’t recall, it was the 4th stop on our tour. I just loved that it’s name represents something different than the traditional French and Italian names you see on wines. Again, not a fancy fellow, but if you like white wines you will enjoy this. This is probably a trash review. I kind of feel bad it’s the first, but give this bottle a shot. If you disagree with me, eh, I enjoyed it so :p.

I love wine and I loved the Safed! Looking forward to the new release.
